The Little Nightmares universe has officially stepped into virtual reality. Bandai Namco Entertainment has launched Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes, putting players directly inside the eerie, oversized world that the series is known for. The VR spin-off is available from launch day across the major headsets, giving fans a fresh way to experience the franchise's signature dread up close.
Where You Can Play It
According to Bandai Namco, Altered Echoes is launching simultaneously across three storefronts and headset ecosystems:
- PlayStation 5 via PSVR2
- PC VR through the Meta Horizon Store and SteamVR
- Standalone on Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3
The standalone Quest support is the headline detail here, since it means players don't need a PC or console tether to jump in — a Quest 2 or Quest 3 alone is enough.
Stepping Into Dark Six's Story
The game centres on Dark Six, a character familiar to Little Nightmares fans, and tasks players with aiding her through a new chapter of the series' unsettling world. While past Little Nightmares games kept players at a careful third-person distance, the VR format pulls that camera inside the nightmare — a meaningful shift in tone for a franchise built around scale, helplessness, and atmosphere.
India Availability
Bandai Namco has not listed a separate India release window or region-specific pricing for Altered Echoes. Indian players with a PSVR2, a SteamVR-ready PC, or a Meta Quest 2/3 should be able to access the title through their respective storefronts.
